All Natural Fruit Moisturizer for Hands and Feet

I am having the worst luck with my skin this summer! My allergies are really bad this year, but my sensitive skin is taking it the worst. I know I posted an all natural dry skin recipe a while back, but that was primarily meant to add moisture back to the facial area. Unfortunately, the mask isn’t very practical for my hands and feet.

I have been cleaning quite a bit for our open house, and the constant washing of these areas really takes it’s toll on my skin. It’s a good thing I found this wonderful recipe on Momscape Online Magazine. I tried it out and I really liked it. I have to admit I cheated a little bit. First I tried medicated over the counter lotions, because my skin just itched and hurt incredibly bad. The funny thing is that most of the medicated lotions gave me hives. Imagine that! This fabulous fruit moisturizer did the trick without the hives I might add.

All Natural Fruit Moisturizer for Dry Hands and Feet

• 1 banana

• 1 avocado ( The recipe listed a papaya or peach as a substitute. I just like avocados.)

• coconut oil

First you place the peeled avocado and banana parts into a blender and puree. You want to scoop up the fruit puree and apply it to the areas of dry, itchy or flaky skin. Leave on your skin for 30 minutes. Rinse off the area well with lukewarm water. After you have rinsed off the puree make sure to rub a little bit of coconut oil on the area. The recipe suggested you use margarine or vegetable oil, but I honestly prefer coconut oil. I just like the scent, but it is your preference. This last part is just for added moisture.

Before you try any of the recipes on this site please make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. If you have questions or concerns please see your doctor before you try them.
